Crash Scene Investigations:Public Can Now Search Database

The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles has developed the Traffic Records Electronic Data System, or TREDS.

By Kevin Duffan, Virginia (VA) Car Accident Attorney

Sometimes it’s hard for even seasoned crash investigators to figure out what exactly caused an accident and who is at fault.  If you have you been injured in a Virginia car accident and are seeking more information on how and why your crash took place you may be in luck. The Virginia Department of Motor Vehicles has developed the Traffic Records Electronic Data System (TREDS), an online database that allows the public to access detailed information regarding VA car accidents, truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, pedestrian accidents, and bicycle accidents across the state. An experienced Virginia (VA) car accident attorney with our firm explores why this is important if you are injured in a car accident.
